Three Cairns In Rescue

Updated Feb 5th Off To His New Home This weekend – So Fingers Crossed He settles in.

1.Thomas, a 7 year old grey brindle who at present is living near Goole.  His 86 year old lady owner has gone into a care home and she doesn't have relatives so at the moment he is being cared for by friends.
He is not used to children of any age, or cats. He is a typical male Cairn and is possessive with his food and toys.
Thomas is neutered and vaccinated, house trained and lead trained. It's not known how good he is in a car, as he hasn't been in one recently.
Thomas is looking for a firm, but loving owner, he must be the only dog in the house.
He has a slight ear problem (infection), but has had treatment for it.

Please contact Chris Roberts on chrismroberts1@gmail.com or 01283 712498

Ruby is due to go to her new home this week.

2. Ruby is a 5 year old female, Red in colour,She lives in The Wirral, Mersyside,  not spayed, not vaccinated, not micro chipped, not 100% house trained, but is lead trained.

Her owners don't have time for her as their circumstances have altered. She is o.k. with other dogs, and has a lovely temperament. Ruby needs a kind loving home, with people around her to give her cuddles

Updated Feb 5th. Fynn is also off To His New Home This weekend – So Fingers Crossed He settles in too!

3.Fynn is a 3 year old, wheaten brindle male. In Co Durham.  He's neutered,
vaccinated and microchipped.
He needs a new home where there are no children, as he has growled at his owners 2 year old grandson who was trying to kick him!!
He is a fairly typical male Cairn i.e. headstrong, can be possessive with food and toys and sometimes takes exception in being moved off the sofa when it's bedtime. However he does like cuddles and will snuggle in at the side of his owners when they are watching T.V.
Fynn is an active dog and loves his walks, so he will need plenty of excercise. His owners think that he would be better with a lady owner rather than a man.

Good news… Murphy is being looked after by a Friends member, we will publish more details later.

FOSTER HOME  REQUIRED FOR THREE WEEKS

I have been contacted by the owners (Mr & Mrs Anderson) of a 'rescued' Cairn who are going on holiday for three weeks from the 14th January to 5th February.

They had booked 'Murphy' (who is a diabetic) into his boarding kennels that they normally use and it was only for the fact that that they 'phoned to confirm the booking and to check that everything would be ok with his insulin injections when they were told that the kennels didn't take  diabetic dogs.

Mr & Mrs Anderson have asked family and friends, but no one was willing to look after him for the 3 weeks.

Murphy, who is neutered was re-homed through the CTRF approximately 5 years ago, he is now 6 yrs old. He is very friendly towards other dogs, children and adults and has no vices.

I am unable to take on any further commitments at present and wondered if there was anyone who could give Murphy a home for 3 weeks.

He lives in Oldham and apparently Mr & Mrs Anderson are willing to pay whoever fosters him.

Please contact Mr Graham Anderson for further details on 07970779214.

Another thought is.... does anyone in the Oldham area know of a diabetic friendly boarding kennels?

Many thanks

Chris Roberts
